After legal dispute, two Miss San Antonio winners head to Texas pageant

For anyone handicapping this month's Miss Texas pageant, please note that San Antonio has the best odds by sending three contenders, thanks to a court battle between two crown holders, The San Antonio Express-News reports.
Dominque Ramirez, 17, originally won the title, but pageant officials took it back for alleged insubordination, apparently involving her public appearance schedule and her weight. They gave the crown instead to runner-up Ashley Dixon, 21.
Ramirez sued -- and in March a jury gave her back the crown.
The dispute drew international attention after the pageant's board president, Linda Woods, said in a radio interview that Ramirez had been told during a bikini photo shoot to "get off the tacos," the newspaper reports.
Officials have awarded once-and-future runner-up Dixon the title of Miss Bexar County, giving her the right to compete at the state pageant.
